Students will collaborate and create a Flippity manipulative, which will allow them to examine and identify the various elements of a citation.
Each student pair will share the Google sheet file with one another and use the following items in their shared template:
author: red
title of article or book: orange
title of container: yellow
other contributors: green
publisher: blue
publication date: purple
location: pink
These colors are chosen on purpose because they match the colors used for each element in the previous lesson.
They will each choose 2 resources and will add each element to the template that are needed to create a citation for their resources.
Each student will also provide links to their resources so the teacher can check they identified the elements correctly.
One of the students will publish the template and will share it with the other student.
Both will use the interactive manipulative activity to identify each element of their citations and drag them into the correct place.
Both students will take screenshots of their completed activity, showing they placed the elements in their proper places.
